Baby Love and Goose Eggs

It’s been a long, hot day for the Ballards. I’m torn with this warm weather – thankful it’s finally here and pool time has come, not loving the heat – especially at night.

Too cool off today we went to Shanna’s house so that the kids could run through the sprinklers. This proved to be a bad choice for Tate. She decided to be brave and try walking down Shanna’s front steps (cement) without holding onto anything and landed face first at the bottom (only 3 steps, but still). She’s got a good mark on the forehead to prove it. After calming down a bit, she braved the sprinklers with the older kids and got a shot of water to the face that she didn’t love so much. Needless to say, our sprinkler run was short lived!

Now we’re home and getting ready for bed. She’s been giving her baby lots of kisses lately and I finally got one on captured on my camera for you all to see. If you look closely you can see her big bruised forehead. She’s been affectionately called “Bruiser” today – the kid is covered from jumping and running and falling all day long. I feel like she’s one giant bruise right now!!!
